Spider veins are those blue or red veins that spread out like tree branches under your skin. They are most commonly found on the legs, thighs, ankles, or face. Spider veins can be genetic or caused by poor circulation, standing or sitting for long periods of time, hormones, birth control pills, sun exposure, blood clotting problems, or any condition that causes pressure in the abdomen. If you have them, you are not alone - studies have shown that roughly 30% of the U.S. population has some sort of vascular lesion issue., with leg spider veins affecting up to 80 million adults alone. Regardless of where spider veins appear, they can sometimes get inflamed and irritate the skin.

At Laser Loft, we use our 1064 Nd:YAG Laser to remove spider veins. The laser targets problem veins while avoiding the surrounding areas. After the treatment is done, the vessel will naturally disappear because the laser allows the blood to absorb back into the body. Spider vein removal can be uncomfortable, just like any other laser treatment, but this service is one of our clients’ favorites because of how quickly the vein becomes visibly reduced as the treatment is being performed (results can vary).

Sun exposure should be avoided just prior to treatment, and the area must be clean the day of the service. The service takes anywhere from 10-30 minutes depending on how much work needs to be done, but we know you'll be pleased with the outcome.

FAQ: How many sessions will I need?

Using the 1064 Nd:YAG Laser for this treatment is not a cure, but it can fade, reduce, and/or completely eliminate visible veins and capillaries. It may take 1-4 treatments in 6-8 week intervals to produce the desired result.
